We are seeking a creative, collaborative Architectural Designer to develop design solutions to support our client’s goals and coordinate those designs throughout all phases of the project. You will work closely with, mentor, and be mentored by our talented, dedicated team of designers, project managers, and principals.
Responsibilities
Proven proficiency in owning and successfully completing architecture assignments with minimal or no supervision. Responsible for specific technical and design aspects of assigned major projects, including investigating, evaluating, and recommending solutions that fit the client’s needs. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in some areas.
- Proficient at working on complex assignments
- Develop designs that meet our client’s goals. Active in Schematic Design and Design Development. Researches and selects materials. Creates plans and 3D renderings. Creates and assembles presentation drawings and other materials. Gathers pricing, specs, & lead times for arch products & materials.
- Manages and participates in the coordination process with consultants, including creating deadlines for consultant deliverables & reviews in alignment with the project plan.
- Often mentors and oversees the work of other team members.
- Assist PM as directed. Owns some of the PM activities. Participates in client meetings as directed. Runs OAC meetings/site visits when the PM or Senior Architect is not present.
- Collects and records programming data. Manages and participates in documenting existing condition field surveys and creating existing conditions Revit models.
- Conducts QA/QC design &/or tech reviews on the entire project.
- Manages CD process in alignment with PM assignments. Creates CD sets and follows SGC drawing standards. Responsible for checking their own work and coordinating with others.
- Manages and participates in the submittal process. Assist with addenda sketches and drawing revisions.
- Assists with the permitting process, permit applications, and response letters.
- Manages and participates in the punch-list walk-through and follow-up process
Requirements
- 8 or more years of relevant experience.
- Bachelors or Master of Architecture from an accredited university.
- Collaborate, positive, fun team player.
- Proactive communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven success at meeting project deadlines while working on multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of building codes and standard construction methods.
- Architecture license preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in Revit required.
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook required.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range $75,000 - $95,000. Benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance, Matching 401k, PTO, Hybrid Work.
