Studio GC worked with CHSD 230 on a master plan for Amos Alonzo Stagg High School and determined that the school needed additional classrooms and teacher workspaces. It was also clear that there were traffic issues in certain areas of the school.
The 16,500 sq. ft. addition project will provide the district with 11 classrooms, 4 science labs, 7 offices, 52 teacher workstations, a 20-person meeting room, and a rooftop environmental learning space. Construction will occur in several phases to minimize disruption to students and staff.
The first phase is completed, and students and staff were able to begin using the space during the 24-25 school year.
