Studio GC was selected by the Village of Glenview because of its cost-effective approach to the design of a replacement fire station. Architects worked side-by-side with village fire administrators to finalize the concept and coordinate demolition of the existing structure. The project’s biggest challenge was to place the fire station in a tight, residential setting. This was effectively accomplished—with minimal disturbance to neighbors.
