Lincoln Middle School

Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 along with Studio GC completed various renovations at Lincoln Middle School to better serve the students of today. The renovations include a reimaging of the LRC, a new secure vestibule entrance and renovated main office, roof replacement, tuckpointing, plumbing replacement, corridor flooring replacement, and corridor painting throughout the building. As a highlight of the renovations, the design of the LRC is based upon a new, engaging model more conducive to student learning in the 21st century that supports multiple functions. While supporting the requirements of a traditional resource center, the flexible layout of the LRC also provides areas where up to 3 classes can be accommodated separately in semi-private zones, or an area that can support a small presentation for 120 students or community members. The LRC responds to these new student needs by providing areas for passive or active learning through reading nooks, Chromebook use, lecture-style presentation, group inquiry activities, and two project rooms.
