As part of the $84.2 million bond referendum that was passed for West Aurora SD129, the featured addition as the completion of the new Veterans Memorial Field House with a ribbon cutting on Veteran's Day with an all-school assembly celebration. Additional projects resulting from the bond at West High included a new connecting corridor link, expanding the kitchen, renovating the existing locker rooms and installing a new geothermal heating and cooling system.
