The Village of Antioch commissioned Studio GC to design a brand new aquatic facility, pumphouse/concessions building, along with renovating their current bath house. The aquatic facility at Antioch consisted of a 35-plus year old standard outdoor box type pool and bath house. The project budget was extremely tight at approximately $2.2 million. The project team worked diligently and extensively on staying within the budget by offering the village with multiple options and layouts in the schematic design phase. From schematic design all the way until the end of construction documents, we provided them with cost estimates in respect to every design change that was made along the way. This was only possible through our BIM software and it provided a stronger relationship with our client who could now view realistic images and renderings to truly visualize their future goals.
